Here is another in what I hope will be a continuing series of pimping work for others around the net. One of Blood of Kittens readers Kevin Mcdermott has a new blog he just started as well wants to promote an event dear to his heart that is coming next year. So please let him know what you think of his blog by checking it out

Well after a few horrible attempts at reaching into the “Blogoshpere” I’ve finally decided to settle down and to write my own blog. Now Im not gonna be an egotistical prick or assume I know everything, which I don’t. Im just your ordinary Wargamer trying to claw my way through this hobby that we all love. I’ve been into 40k since that one fated day my cousin introduced me into 40k when I was 7 at a beach house on the Jersey shore, bought my first Leman Russ a few months later, lost my way through the end of third and most of 4th. Now with fifth edition into full swing, and 11 years of experience I can say I love this hobby. I’ve won and lost tournaments. I’m pretty average in all ways gaming. Now never take me too seriously and please feel free to contribute to the conversation. Here I intend to write about 40k tactics, armies, and the game itself. I’ll also talk about and cover tournaments, as well as a new club I joined (Ocean State Dice Devils).

Now about TempleCon…
TempleCon is a convention for everything from Video Games, roleplaying, hobbying, and most importantly Minitures Wargaming! It takes place at a beautiful hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island on the weekend of Febuary 4th-6th. (Yes, home to that specific tv show about ghosts) The Club I am in is hosting all of the Games Workshop events this year. We are gonna have limited space but so far there are many events we will put on including a 2000 Point Doubles Tournament (1000 each player) as well as Apocolypse and a Midnight Showdown. Our main event will be a 1750 Point 40k Tournament. We will also be having Fantasy events and a tournament. All events will have prize support courtesy of The Ocean State Dice Devils. We hope to pack this event so that we are allowed a bigger room for next year and host a GT. We will be using RankingsHQ so power gamers do apply. So come on down(up really) to TempleCon; even if you don’t play 40k or fantasy there is a MASSIVE Warmachine tournament as well as Flames of War and a few others miniatures games. (There even is a North American Diplomacy Federation Tournament for all you whiskey and cigar diplomats!) There will be demos on painting and hobbying as well. There are also a few exciting vendors coming along (you’ll have to wait for future posts on my blog for me to disclose that information, 😉
We are also proud to be hosting The New England Gaming Clubs Cup! It will be an adepticon team tournament style event where Clubs from around the region will be competing in teams of 4. More info will be followed up on my blog so check for updates.
Did I mention the entire event is open for everyone, there are no specific costs beyond the door fee? That means you can enter and enter all of the tournaments and demos for no extra charge at all! So get a group together and come for a fun time! (And you get to see me for what that is worth)

Hope to see you at my blog.
