Day one of Adepticon is always crazy as I run around taking pictures left and right and post them online. I will also do my best keep you updated on who is making a run to the final 16 and a chance at being crowned Adepticon champion!
The event for off it a rocky start not because of anything that they did, but Mother Nature had decided to take a crap on anyone trying to fly into Chicago! It will be interesting to see how many no shows there are for the championships.
Looks like things got started for game Because of the weather hell the event for started about 45min late. They tired to give enough time for people stuck to make it.

As for the armies fielded it looks like not that many heldrakes. Lots of necrons! Not many dark angels.
Biggest surprise is the amount of Nids! Lots and lots of them!
The move to monstrous creatures is in full force from Nids to demons!

Mike Brandt-Chester-tony kopech are all taking a variant of the same list with storm talons and thunderfire cannons as there core.
Flying circus is still doing very good as well.
One thing that rubbed a few players the wrong way was fast attack flyers not being able to score in the scrounging,but still counted as double victory points.
Also looks like they got about 210 players. With everything nature related going on that is really impressive.
