In just two short days one of the largest 40k events in the country will be underway: Bay Area Open 2015! I believe this is year five for the BAO gowing with Frontline Gaming gang. The event has been capped at 128 players the last two years, as the Las Vegas Open became the premier Frontline event. Now with the ITC going strong the BAO takes on added importance, being the third largest point getting event in the circuit. The BAO draws mostly a West Coast crowd with the top players from Vancouver to San Diego attending; if you look at the current ITC rankings you can expect to see at least half of the top 50 players in attendance.

The BAO will be an interesting meta experience, it is the first large event where both the new Space Marines and Dark Angel codexes are playable. I expect to see quite a few Demi-Companies. In addition, Eldar really should make a play for some top spots, if not maybe all the nerd rage was for nothing.

Blood of Kittens will be showing up to the BAO with trusty camera, following around the best players as they try to stay undefeated.

Specifically, I will be watching five players.

(Currently 1# Ranked ITC player) Alex Gonzalez: Alex Gonzalez BAO 2015 List

(Currently #3 Ranked ITC player)  Geoff “InControl” Robinson: Geoff Robinson BAO 2015 List

(Currently #5 Ranked ITC player and last year ITC Champion) Paul Mckelvey: Paul McKelvey BAO 2015 List

(Current #10 Ranked ITC player and last year BAO Champion) Steve Sisk: Steve Sisk BAO 2015 List

Here is an image of Steve Sisk’s awesomely almost finished Ultrascars army.

Any of these players can win the BAO, but if you want a pseudo dark horse it would be Alan “pajama pants” Bajramovic ETC USA team member and general badass.

All these list utilize different strategies, but together they showcase the true diversity of 7th edition.

Tomorrow, I will have a separate post for the updates as they happen at the BAO 2015!

Tits for Tournaments is rated factually opinionated. Expect results, army lists, and some light bitching about boring spam lists to follow.
