BoK Reviews: White Dwarf Issue #127

White Dwarf Issue #127: Alarielle Returns!

White Dwarf reviews operate differently than other Blood of Kittens Reviews. The goal with these reviews is to place a value for each issue. The rating system is one to four stars, each star represents $1 in value, to a max of four dollars. The review values are also Warhammer 40k based; Age of Sigmar dedicated issues will still be reviewed, but valued for Warhammer 40k players. It means you could see many low valued issues, where a general Games Workshop hobbyist actually valuing them more. Keep this in mind when deciding if a particular White Dwarf Issue is good for you.

Contents: New Releases

If you are an Age of Sigmar fan you won’t be disappointed with this issue, everyone else should steer clear. Alarielle the Everqueen is first up with one of the most amazing models from GW to come along, nothing says amazing like a nature queen riding a giant war beetle. Next is the Branchwych character model, with a little worm familiar. Drycha Hamadreth is another large model honeycomb details and more wormy goodness. Kurnoth Hunters expand the Treant range. Rounding out the release is the dual kit for Spite-Revenants and Tree-Revenants they both have a very Guillermo del Toro feel to them. To go along with this big release is the Legends of the Age of Sigmar: Sylvaneth short story book. The Sylvaneth Battletome and the final Realmgate Wars book All-Gates finishes off the Sylvaneth releases. GW isn’t done though they also throw in the Dreadhold Crucible, a kinda silly piece of terrain with oversized skull cannons.

Contents: Paint Splatter

This edition of Paint Splatter shows us how to paint the Tree-Revenants, providing a cool ethereal skin job you can use on various other models.
