The Week Before the Nerfs Arrive: Warhammer 40k Tournament Results

by | Jul 11, 2023

Last weekend, seven large Warhammer 40K events took place, with at least 26 players competing in five rounds. A total of 21 10th edition lists were present, representing 10 different factions. Aeldari continued to dominate the field as many events didn’t have enough time to incorporate the latest balance update sheet, which couldn’t have come fast enough. Therefore, we can anticipate a performance decline for Aeldari and Imperial Knights in the upcoming weeks.

Now that the Aeldari have been mostly brought in line and with the odd decision on how to deal with Titanic units, we shall see if a new host of armies perform well at tournaments. Genestealer Cults, Thousand Sons, and Necrons should be poised to take advantage of the latest nerfs and dominate a bit more. As for the factions below them, we might be in for a long wait before many of them become any good.
