Aeldari Fall with a Big * : Warhammer 40k Tournament Results

by | Aug 13, 2023

During the last weekend, six major Warhammer 40K events took place, involving at least 26 players each competing in at least five. Determining the top three players is based on their win records and total battle points (not strength of schedule). Over the course of the weekend, a collective of 18 Warhammer 40K 10th edition lists were showcased, originating from 11 different factions. In an unexpected twist, Aeldari didn’t dominate everything this past weekend; instead, they only secured four top lists. This was followed by a diverse assortment of surprising armies!

Emerging seemingly out of nowhere with their first top 3 placement, we have the Adeptus Mechanicus! Beyond that, we are given a preview of factions poised to rise in the standings once the September nerfs take effect. Keep an eye out for the Thousand Sons, Chaos Space Marines, and Astra Militarum to ascend. It will be intriguing to observe how Games Workshop addresses the need to prevent merely reshuffling the deck of imbalance when the time comes.
