Orks Crash Course to the Top: Warhammer 40k Tournament Results
Over the past weekend, 16 large Warhammer 40K events took place, with a minimum of 26 players participating in each event. The process of determining the top three players is based on their win records and total battle points, rather than the strength of their schedule. Throughout the weekend, a total of 48 Warhammer 40K 10th edition lists were featured, representing 19 distinct factions. As was expected, Orks crested the hill, taking 1st place for the week and dethroning Necrons, which have dominated for almost the entire year. There is no reason to expect Orks will give up their new top status until the next Nexus Pariah season later this summer.

Overall, the Warhammer 40k meta is still pretty healthy, with Necrons finally being pushed down a peg, allowing other factions like Genestealer Cults and Thousand Sons to shine. Will Chaos Space Marines make a difference to the meta? We will have to wait, but the new codex looks promising to at least keep them competitive.
