Recently I've been working on a set of Eldar Swooping Hawks for my eldest son. There have been a few trials along the way with this set of Finecast figures, but nothing Games Workshop haven't been willing to sort out.
I've scraped off the initial sand on the base in favour of trying out some of the new textured paint to do the base. I'm also going to build up layers of grass around the ruined statues, so a finer base would work better to build up on.
There's still a ton more work to do with the Hawk Turquoise base colour alone, but I'll keep building layer on layer till I'm happy with the coverage and lines. Once I've done that I'll move on to sharpening the whites up and working on the ruined statues before breaking out the textured paints.
