Tits for Tournaments: WargamesCon 2013 Winners are?

Sadly, I couldn’t make it to WargamesCon this year because of “certain” other affairs interfering…

It looks like everyone had a jolly good time and I was really annoyed I missed it, because I was actually going to play in the championship for a change! The only con drama seemed to came from the inclusion of Forgeworld, which for some reason really turns some people off. As I have stated before the only reason I don’t like Forge World is its not accessible to the masses, leaving it to favor the deep pocket players over the average ones. Anyway, all the haters can eat some crow as Forgeworld didn’t seem to make much of difference as the overall winner beat the “Dreaded” Saber Platform to a bloody pulp.

As you may notice, WargamesCon is the largest event to use Battle points which many in the competitive world despise. Oddly enough still many of the same players consistently end up in the Top 16 every year– Wrecking Crew and Team American. The only real sad thing with this list is the amount of Necrons that ended up in the Top 16 and the overall winner using them. At least Ben Mohlie used an unconventional Necron list to acquire the golden buckle.
