BoK Reviews: White Dwarf Issue #113
White Dwarf Issue #112: Blessed by the Blood God
White Dwarf reviews operate differently than other Blood of Kittens Reviews. The goal with these reviews is to place a value for each issue. The rating system is one to four stars, each star represents $1 in value, to a max of four dollars. The review values are also Warhammer 40k based; Age of Sigmar dedicated issues will still be reviewed, but valued for Warhammer 40k players. It means you could see many low valued issues, with a general Games Workshop hobbyist actually valuing them more. Keep this in mind when deciding if a particular White Dwarf Issue is good for you.
Contents: New Releases
As sales continue to plummet with every new Age of Sigmar release you have to wonder when it will stop… well not this week as we get three overpriced Khorne character models. Exalted & Aspiring Death Bringer and another Slaughterpriest, there isn’t anything particularly wrong with these models with the Aspiring model being the best of the bunch. The Grand Alliance: Order Book has also coming out, leaving many old Warhammer fractions in the dust, like all of Bretonnia, much of the High Elves and classic Dwarves. Forge World has a cool release with heavy weapon sets for Space Marines, all the weapons have the hip underslung look. Black Library has two books, the Curse of the Wulfen which tells the tale of Herald Deathwolf’s first encounter with the Wulfen and the Seventh Serpent another part to the Shattered Legion novels for the Horus Heresy.
Contents: Forces of Order
Here we get an overview of the 21 difference factions you can find in the new Age of Sigmar Order book, this section is only saving grace is the images of impressive looking armies.
What is GW saying?
Released March 26th 2016
Contents: Golden Daemon Space Marines
Here we get a showcase of the Bronze winner for Space Marines from the Golden Demon awards. The model is by Neil Hollis who painted an Iron Hands Drop Pod with Marines all around. Technically it isn’t that special, but the presentation and a certain basing trick really makes up for it.
Contents: Readers’ Models
Here we get some reader submissions, which for the are not all that great, except for Bengamin Nicolas’s Tau suits, with the Ghostkneel below being truly spectacular.

Here are the rules for the new Khorne models.
Contents: The Week In…
Here in this the Week in lame stuff, we have more of the same reminders and rehash of previous material found in the same White Dwarf.
Next Issue Hint: The Realmgate Wars Continue in Beastly Fashion…
Final Verdict
Issue #113 has more Age of Sigmar now this time with Khorne models no one wants. At least we get a ton of amazing looking models from readers and professionals.
