I busted my Balls this week to bring the army up to seven fully completed KP’s 11 to go with a whole free weekend In front of me.
Currently aiming to clear three per week…. Man am I going to suffer.
Up next, a Ravager I think.
In other news I have ordered a battlefoam custom case for my army, initially had hoped for a medium bag but DE are funny shapes and really need to be glued to their bases (which BF’s solution accounts for) so they take a stupid amount of space, fortunately the bag I did get lets me store almost all the DE I own and accounts for most of my upcoming purchases too, apart from a Voidraven. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to It as I imagine there will be FW goodies to add soon.
BTW, kinda enjoyed BF’s custom tray creator, very cool/useful. I’ll do a full review on my order experience and the bag after ToS.
I’m Considering trading in my unassembled Lynx for a Tantalus, assuming it does not get the ‘Reaper treatment’ rules-wise….. *scowl*

DAMN! They turned out great. I really want to see you paint a voidraven. Have you considered doing any beasts? I’m curious to see how you’d go at them. By the way, I can totally vouch for the custom BF trays. It’s a great tool and it works out well. Sucks on our flying stands. Especially when you get a vehicle destroyed 5 and need to lay down a wreck.
Very good. I think the very pale flayed skin works better with these guys since it contrasts nicely with the black armour.
Lol, if only venoms could tank-shock…. I have some ideas for paintokens and objectives that may please you ;o) those may not get done in time for Tos as non essential.
Brian, Beasts are on the cards long term, as is a court, but beasts are priced like they are made from solid platinum studded with diamonds and come in saffron derived packaging, I’m holding out for a deal….maybe the sale of my space wolves army will cover it?

What do you mean by need to be glued to their bases?
I’ve been magnetising most of my vehicles/flying base stuff, and its worked amazing. Not quite as clean as gluing, but it could be pretty close if I tried. Most of the DE stuff is so light its not really an issue, in fact the first set of magnets I tried were too powerful.

I got utterly sick of hellions and Reavers falling of their bases and costantly having to put em back on mid game, now I’m a happy chappy and setup is much faster, cant hurt the games either. Vehicles are less of a problem, however I think the sockets will go loose with time….
Bf’s raider tray is fortunately made to include the base attached as are their hellions and reavers, which is ultimately why I chose them over KR cases for my main case,
Trust me I would saw off my man parts with a lolly stick to get my hands on a pre release void Raven, not so keen on the Eavy metal approach to DE anyway.
