March has been a busy month in the end, it started off fairly slow because I was working on the Archaeon commission and I couldn't get myself happy with the skin on Durgar.I eventually got it to something I could accept but suspect if I was keeping it I'd have tinkered even further.  Unlike the Glotkin I couldn't really get into this model the same way, not to say I didn't enjoy painting it but I really loved doing Glotkin (compare this to Steve Wren's experiences elsewhere on the Painthammer blog and it's the inverse!).

AoS - Archaeon
Following on from the giant of Archaeon I went to the opposite end of the scale again and knocked out a bunch more epic stuff to get myself back into painting multiple models.  This now gives me a full company worth of Marines to host so just need to add on some support stuff and I'll have a full force for them.

Next up is something that came a bit out of leftside.  I'd been talking bolt action down BIG recently and suspected I'd get sucked in.  Then they set up a facebook group and invited me so I got another nudge in the right direction and finally I saw an offer of an army for sale on twitter for what sounded like a good price.  A bit of research confirmed as much so I jumped in, now I thought I was buying a near fully painted force but there was actually quite a lot of part painted models.  So I committed to smashing them out to an equal standard to what I'd bought in order to have a fully painted force.  Overall it didn't take me long but about 30 odd infantry guys needed work done on them.

Here's a picture of the whole army together, since this picture was taken I've finished off the basing with highlights & tufts to make them all look the same.

Next was some Saga, I painted up my unit of levy archers for my Scots warband, I'm thinking I'll focus on getting them all painted up in the next couple of months so I've got a fully painted army for that game too.

Next up is my AoS army, I decided that I wanted to go oldschool for SCGT and pulled out all my pre 1994 dwarfs and started basing them up over the last few months, plus the warriors & rangers which I painted up.  It's now all fully rebased and ready to go, the only stuff I actually painted this month was a second grudge thrower and a crewman for it.

Here's the crewman.

I'm also lending out my TK for SCGT and the borrowing player asked if I had settra given how filthy he is, I don't but int he substitute warscrolls if you Arkhan on his flying chariot then he is used as settra, well guess what I found in a box!

Finally a few objective markers for with the Dwarfs at SCGT

So in totality March has been a bit of a monster month, I make it 61 models, you could claim that the bolt action shouldn't really count as a bunch of them were part painted but I had to do work to complete them so I'm counting them as it's models that are now fully painted which weren't and that makes that bolt action purchase a nil sum game in the models bought vs models painted equation not that I have worked out where I'm sat on that.

The Saga warband up next is going to be another 29 models: 12 Hearthguard, 16 warriors and a Warlord to be done. If I do that in April and a Guild Ball model or two I'll be on track for staying ahead of target on the 366 run rate. (or rather holding my 30 models bank for when on holiday later in the year).

After that I've got a load of 30k to do (2000+ pts) and when they finally arrive my Darklands stuff (2 armies).
