Keeping Tyranids at Bay: Warhammer 40k Tournament Results

May 2022 ended with 10 large Warhammer 40k ITC events, with the Bay Area Open leading the way. While BAO had a feel good story; with Sisters and Blood Angels beating off Tyranids and Aeldari, the rest of the events showed just how much Tyranids are dominating, even if they are being held out of 1st place finishes. Out of 30 possible lists Tyranids claimed almost half (14), followed by another 7 from Aeldari, with Harlequins returning to cause a lot of problems.

With the calendar turning to June we should see by the end of the month the next Chapter Approved updated with point changes. We really need it to reign in Tyranids and to a less extent Aeldari. The summer could turn into one of the healthiest for the Warhammer 40k meta in a long time if Games Workshop doesn’t mess it up.
